Fortuna was saved out of a kill-pen where there were Paso Finos and Thoroughbreds that had come off of a farm where the owner no longer had been caring for them. They were in a state of various health problems and emaciation. A local couple in the Capital Region loved Paso Finos and found out about these horses in the kill-pen, so they paid her “bail” and saved her life back at their farm. They then reached out to Peaceful Acres Horses to continue her care and become her Stable Place. PAH activated the “Catch Equines Before They Fall” program to receive her and continue her restoration. She carries a burden of neglect and trauma. Fortuna is a senior with some special needs. She is well cared for and safe here, but she would love to have an easy-going, patient and devoted Buddy to spend time with her and help her feel that she is uniquely loved.
