Will you choose Blaze to Sponsor?

Blaze was saved in 2006 after being part of a large herd reduction of PMU foals.  (Premarin is a hormone replacement medication that is manufactured through a process of collecting pregnant mare urine for 8+ months of pregnancy. Foals are the byproduct of that process. It is cruel and highly unnecessary, and a detriment to not only the horses/mares being used and their foals, but also has side effects to its users. You can read more about Premarin online.

Blaze had been saved by a couple who were looking to do well for him but found that they were unable to keep him after several months. A friend of theirs told them about Peaceful Acres Horses and suggested they contact the organization to inquire about Blaze coming into the sanctuary.  After a visit to meet Blaze and the couple, Blaze was on his way to meet the other PMU rescues and rescues in our care. Blaze immediately bonded with Whinny and Pokka and they have been inseparable friends ever since.

Together Blaze, Whinny and Pokka work within Peaceful Acres Horses’ equine-guided emotionally supportive programs for youth, families, couples, adults, veterans, and people surpassing grief, loss, and trauma.  Blaze is kind, engaging, calm and always seems to be able to help his clients to have a better day and gain confidence and hope. Blaze offers to people what he has been given at Peaceful Acres Horses by his caregivers, and that is care, love, and compassion.  His help for people has been priceless and positively life changing.

Blaze is a handsome, kind and highly important horse at Peaceful Acres Horses who deserves to have a sponsor of his very own.
