Rescued Horse, Evergreen Lola's Story

Evergreen Lola was saved by Peaceful Acres Horses in November 2019 from a kill buyers slaughter pen. She had been raced, then a buggy horse with an Amish family. She found herself in an auction where no one was there to save her life. 

Once at the kill buyer’s pen she was tagging to ship in a large, over crowded trailer to Canada to be slaughtered for human consumption. 

A friend and colleague was at that kill buyer’s pen to save lives and sent me Evergreen Lola’s pictures along with four other Standardbred horses who were facing the same horrific fate.

Peaceful Acres Horses started a fundraising effort and saved their lives! 

Fast forward to now, October 2024, Evergreen Lola and her best friend Celebrity Magic are loving living their lives at Peaceful Acres Horses and they are exceptional equine – led leadership and emotional support horses! 

We have one problem however… Evergreen Lola still does not have a Sponsor. Would you consider becoming a supporter of her feed and care?
